Karrie Delaney
Karrie was the very first candidate supported by NY4VA. She is a local community leader who flipped a long-held GOP seat in the 2017 Virginia House of Delegates elections for the 67th District in Fairfax and Loudon counties. As a member of the House of Delegates, she has fought for the most vulnerable, authoring legislation to end human trafficking, defend survivors of sexual assault, and protect students across the Commonwealth.
Kathy Tran
Kathy is a lifelong civil servant, with years of experience at the US Department of Labor and the National Immigration Forum. She was elected in 2017 as the Virginia House Delegate for District 42 in Fairfax county, and continues to fight to strengthen public education, protect the environment, and create a more welcoming and inclusive Virginia.
Jennifer Carroll Foy
Jennifer is a lifelong Virginian with past experience as a public defender and foster mom. She was elected in 2017 as the Virginia House Delegate for District 2 in Stafford and Prince William counties. In her short time in office, she has already made huge waves as champion and chief patron of the Equal Rights Amendment, making Virginia the 38th state to ratify it. We were thrilled to hear that she has announced her candidacy for Governor of Virginia in Fall 2021.
Cheryl Turpin
With the support of NY4US, Cheryl flipped the 85th Virginia House of Delegates seat in 2017. In 2019, again with the support of NY4US, Cheryl ran for the Virginia State Senate in District 7. While she lost her Senate race, Cheryl remains a staunch advocate for quality education, the environment, and economic opportunities for all Virginians.
